How does a Taylex work?

The Taylex system is a fully integrated, multi stage treatment plant contained within a single tank. These systems are supported by current regulatory approvals, strong real world performance data and design suitable for remote and environmentally sensitive locations.

Primary & Secondary Pre-Treatment

Separation of solids and initial organic load reduction is just the beginning of the treatment process.


Traditional Septic Systems provide NO further treatment and the waste water is now released into the environment.

Aeration Chamber

Fitted with bio block media, disk diffuser/s and air lift. The high‑efficiency bio‑media and low‑wattage blower support aerobic digestion of organic matter

Clarification & Filtration

 Settling and disk filtration remove remaining suspended solids, with sludge return to the primary chamber. 

Disinfection & Irrigation

Using less chlorine per liter than an average swimming pool, the system removes any harmful bacteria, viruses and pathogens and then pumps the crystal clear water out for irrigation re-use.

Taylex 1500 Poly & Concrete (10 people)

The Taylex 1500 (poly PABS design shown) Advanced Secondary Treatment System (STS) is designed treat wastewater up to 10 persons per day.

· Treatment Level: Advanced Secondary

· Tank Construction: Polyethylene or concrete 

· Daily Energy Consumption: 2.21 kWh/day


Taylex Polymer Tanks are designed to accommodate site conditions where it is not possible to crane in a concrete treatment system. The unique polymer mould cleverly uses 'Sandwich closed-cell foam polymer' to mould the compartment walls in one piece. There are no joins or glued-in compartments, and all partitions extend to the lid of the tank.  

Taylex 2000 NR Poly & Concrete (13 People)

The Taylex 2000NR (concrete ABS design shown) Advanced Secondary Treatment System (STS) with Nutrient Reduction is designed for higher‑use facilities or environmentally sensitive discharge areas.


· Capacity: 2,000 L/day (13 EP)

· Treatment Level: Advanced Secondary

· Tank Construction: Polyethylene or concrete

· Daily Energy Consumption: 2.5 kWh/day



Taylex Commercial Systems - 33 + people

The Taylex ABS5000 Advanced Secondary Treatment System (STS) is contained in two vertical axis type cylindrical precast concrete collection wells with a design capacity of 11,062 Litres per tank, a combined operating capacity of 14,451 Litres and emergency storage of 7,673 Litres.


· Capacity: 5,000 L/day (33 EP)

· Treatment Level: Advanced Secondary

· Tank Construction: Concrete

· Daily Energy Consumption: 6.16 kWh/day
